This qualification is aimed at middle managers. The course is accredited at level 5 on the Qualifications and Credit Framework (QCF). This means that it is equivalent to second year studies of a 3 year UK degree programme. It is an advanced course that deals with both the theory and the practice in Management and Leadership studies.

Conducting a management project

Being a leader

3 modules from group C
Financial control
Marketing planning
Human resource development

Entry Requirements

Applicants should meet one or more of the requirements below:-

• CMI Introductory Diploma in Management, or a recognised equivalent qualification; or
• CMI Certificate in Management, or a recognised equivalent qualification; or
• Have at least 5 years experience at supervisory or first line management level; plus
• Meeting the English Language requirements below.

English Language Requirements

To be considered for admission, you must show competence in spoken and written English, in addition to meeting the entry requirements above. International students must demonstrate competence of the English Language at IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL (paper based) 550 or TOEFL (internet based) 79

Assessment

Assessment is by course work and assignment administered by Trans-Atlantic College and validated by the Chartered Management Institute.

Award

At the completion of this course, successful students will be awarded the following qualifications:-

Level 5 - Diploma in Management and Leadership (awarded by Chartered Management Institute, UK); and

Membership of the Chartered Management Institute

Students who successfully complete this course can apply to become a FULL MEMBER of the Chartered Management Institute, and use the titles MCMI after their names.

Further Studies

Students who complete this course may proceed to a related level 6 course at a UK university or an equivalent institution.
