About this Course
This advanced diploma course examines the principles, law and practice in social care and supported housing studies in the United Kingdom. It deals with social issues relating to elderly, people with disabilities, children, those with special housing needs, the homeless and those with other special needs.
This course is taught and assessed at level 4/5 on the National Qualifications Framework (NQF)

Target Audience
The course is suitable for anyone who is already working or intending to work in community and social care, nursing, social work, support work, community care work, social housing, social welfare, homelessness support, resettlement, child care or in other related areas.

Course Delivery and Attendance
The course is delivered in a variety of methods, including direct lectures, case studies, tutorials, group work and field practice.
Assessment
Assessment of this course is based on essay-based written assignments, reports, presentations, research projects and direct examinations.

Tuition Fees
Year 1: £3,500
Year 2: £2,500 + £250 Research Project Fee
Entry Requirements
Applicants should have:-
1. Passes at GCSE at A/Level or equivalent standard; or
2. Completed a recognised certificate or diploma course in any field; or
3. Worked in a related field for 3 years or more; or
4. Not met the requirements above, but are at least 21 years of age (at the discretion of the College);
English Language Requirements
You must show competence in spoken and written English, in addition to meeting the entry requirements above. International students must demonstrate competence of the English Language at IELTS 6.0 or TOEFL (paper based) 550 or TOEFL (internet based) 79
